Who you are

You're the one who cooks Sunday dinner for the whole friend group and keeps them coming back for years. You've got an old-photos folder, a playlist that's basically a time machine, and the group chat still exists because you keep it alive. You're a water sign ruled by the Moon, so your moods move like tides, quietly and on their own schedule. You're the soft one in the group, and also the one who shows up first in an emergency.

Your emotional world

You feel a lot more than you show. On the outside: calm, a little guarded, maybe a joke. On the inside: you're tracking every shift in the room. Nostalgia is a comfort and a trap for you; you can miss the past even while you're living a good present. When you're secure, you're warm and openly affectionate. When you're not, you pull back into your shell.

When you're hurt

  • You go quiet and wait for someone to notice.
  • You make a sarcastic joke that's really about the thing that hurt.
  • What actually helpssaying "that hurt me" plainly, before you need to be coaxed out.

How you love

Carefully, and for keeps. You take things slowly at first, watching how someone treats people, how they treat you when nobody's looking. You remember what they said on the first date, and you bring it up a year later. Once you commit, you're protective, devoted and deeply romantic in a quiet way. You want a home, and someone to come home to.

How you show love

  • You fix things at their place without being asked.
  • You protect them, from rude strangers, bad landlords, bad days.
  • You remember anniversaries, including ones they didn't know were anniversaries.
  • You cook their comfort food when they need it most.

Desire and intimacy

For you, desire grows out of emotional connection. You need to feel close and trusted first, and then you're tender, attentive and very much in tune with your partner. You love long, slow nights and the closeness after. Feeling used or judged turns you off. Feeling wanted for exactly who you are makes you tender, attentive and completely devoted.

What draws you in

  • Warmth that's real, not performed.
  • A person who's close to their family, or wants that kind of closeness.
  • Someone who notices when you're quiet and asks why.
  • A laugh that makes the room feel safe.

Your shadow side

You can go passive-aggressive when you're hurt, letting a pointed joke or a chilly answer do the talking. Your moods can be hard to read and harder to live with. You compare the present to a past that's a little edited in your memory. And you hold grudges for a long time, even when you say you've forgiven.

Your growth edge

  • Say what you feel before it turns into a mood.
  • Let the past be the past. The present deserves a fair chance.
  • When you're upset, come out of the shell yourself, without waiting to be rescued.

At a glance

  • Your friends from kindergarten are still your friends.
  • You take care of people in ways they don't even notice until later.
  • You read emotions better than almost anyone.

Your dealbreakers

  • Being made fun of for being sensitive.
  • Unreliability: canceled plans, forgotten promises.
